MMC# 3/11/16 ~ I'm Back!!

Hello everyone!! I am back with a short story for the Monday Minute Challenge! Can I just say that I am so happy to be back? Because I really am!! :) I missed you all so much! Now, lets get going with this post.  I used the photo, and sentence prompt, and the story is 221 words. I had so much fun writing this story and I hope you all enjoy reading it! :) Have a lovely day!

"Get up you yellow-belly freak!" she cried. Her talons glistened with blood, and her eyes were filled with hatred.

I struggled to get up, the pain in my side hurt deeply. I could feel heat rushing through my blood. A feeling I only got when I was angered. It started out as a little spark, and then it grew. I held the fireball in my hand, sweat trickling down my face from the heat. She cackled viciously.

"Do you think," she cried through breaths of evil laughter, "that you can stop me?"

The anger built up inside me even more. The fire that I held in my hand grew larger than it ever had before.

"Come on Jack." she said, her teeth glistening yellow, "Come Jack.....Jack...Jack..."

Her voice was drowning out and her body was becoming a blur.

"Jack!" I heard a familiar voice call. "Jack!"

I woke up with a start. Sweat trickled down my face.

"Jack, are you ok?" my 11 year old sister asked looking at me with panic.

"I...I.." I said through gulps of air. " I had the dream again."

Suddenly, I remembered the pain in my side. I looked down to find dark red blood flowing from my body.

"Maybe," my sister said, her hands trembling, "It...it isn't a dream."
