Hello everyone! Once again I will be praticipating in the Monday Minute Challenge! Hope you all enjoy! :)
She looked
at the old chest in amazement. How long
had this been up here? She thought to herself running her hand over the old
leather. She rubbed her index finger and thumb together slowly, feeling the
little bits of dust covering them.
Should I open it? She thought to herself. What if grandpa caught me up here? She
pushed that thought aside and carefully lifted the trunk. She gasped with
wonderment. In the chest were old pictures of precious little babies! Who were
these babies and why were their pictures in the trunk? She gently picked up one
of the pictures and ran her finger across the delicate face. It was a
beautiful baby! In fact, one of the most beautiful babies she had ever seen!
She put it down and picked up the little material of lace that lay across in the
chest with all the pictures. It felt so frail and light in her hands. She
smiled at it, and then her glance was caught by another picture. She picked it
up and stared hard at it. The picture she held in her hand was not a baby, but
a girl. A beautiful girl with brunette hair and a beautiful smile. She flipped
the picture over and on the back was written in dark ink, Evangeline Clair
Thomas. She dropped it! Could it be? Could it really be her mother! She stood
up and walked back a few steps in shock. When all of a sudden she seen a tall
object standing at the doorway of the attic from the corner of her eye. She
turned around to get a better look and immediately wished she hadn’t.
