Hard Times

Hey everybody! A couple days ago I was looking through some of my posts on a group blog I am apart of, Girls Living for Gods Glory, and I found a post, and I read it and really liked it! So, I thought I would share it with you all today. :) I hope you enjoy reading it and have a lovely day!

Yep, hard times. We all go through them. Have you all ever thought about what it would be like if you had a life that you went through no pain or suffering at all? I did a couple weeks ago when we were talking about it at my Youth Group. It would be boring, and we wouldn’t be able to grow a stronger relationship with God. When we go through hard times we lean on God, and talk to him about what we are going through which makes our relationship with him stronger. I know that it stinks and sometimes we question God, ‘Why are these things happening?’ ‘What have I done to deserve this?’ I know that we all probably ask those questions. But, remember God does things and puts certain people in your life for a purpose. We might not know what that purpose is but trust me, God has it all under control. If you are going through a hard time talk to God about how you feel and lean on him and you will grow closer to him. Here are some bible verses that can help you.
And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. Pslams 50:15
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18
And here is a quote I found that I really liked!
Sometimes God uses pain to inspect us, correct us, direct us, and perfect us.

  1. Oh, amen, Shelby dear! I personally can testify to this... And Jesus is with us through every trial and difficulty we face, and He uses these to shape us into the women He created us to be... Thank you for sharing sweet encouragement this morning, friend!

  3. so true. Without the trials and difficult times in our lives, we wouldn't have to learn to put our trust in God, and we would start to rely on Him less and less. As we read in the Bible, God gives the trials and grows those who are his children. If we are his Children, we should be thankful for the things that God uses in our lives to grow us!

  4. A couple of years ago in religion class, a topic of discussion came up " If god loves, why do people still suffer"? I couldn't answer that question then. And I still couldn't until I read your post. Everything makes so much sense now :)
    Thank you for this!
